Eccles , Mark. « Claudius Hollyband and the Earliest French-English Dictionaries » in Studies in Philology, 1986, Vol. 83, n°1, p. 53. Disponible en ligne : https://www.jstor.org/stable/4174229 (consulté le 29 12 2020).
Mark Eccles indique :A Dictionary French and English, the earliest that now survives, was printed in 1570/1 (colophon 1570, tille-page 1571), with no author’s name, by Henry Bynneman for Lucas Harrison. A Short-Title Catalogue (1926), 6832, lists this under Dictionary ; but for 6737, the revised edition of 1593 listed under Desainliens, it cites Harrison’s entry in 1568 of « a Dyxcionary ffrynshe and englesshe &c. »7[...]7 Edward Arber, A transcript of the Registers of the Company of Stationers of London, I (London, 1875), 364. Bynneman printed in 1580 Hollyband’s revised edition, The Treasury of the French Tongue. He died in 1583 : Mark Eccles, « Bynneman’s books, » Library, V.xii (1957), 81-92.Voir aussi

A Dyxcionary ffrynsche and englesshe, Lucas Haryon, 1567-1568. -
